Job Description:

SALARY: $50,000 - $81,950. First year teacher can earn $53,810 by participating in our Three-Year Teacher Mentorship Program ($810) and Performance Pay ($3,000.00 approx.), which is earned and paid the same year. Washington Elementary School District - The largest K-8 Elementary District in Arizona is proud to serve a diverse student population in Northwest and central Phoenix Metropolitan area. The WESD is comprised of 33 schools (K-6, K-8 and 7-8 and one Online). WESD offers exceptional teacher support for Paid Student Teachers, Alternative Pathways Teachers (Degree outside education), Traditional Student Teachers, and continuing teachers so all teachers feel supported! There are Mentors and an Instructional Coach at every site. PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Enrollment in a Teacher Certification Program (Senior Year), or
  • Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education, Secondary Education or Special Education

MINIMUM REQUIREMEENTS:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in any area
