Job Description:

Job Title: Special Education Paraprofessional (5th- 8th Grade)

Position Summary:

Provides academic, behavioral, and physical support to students with special needs under the direction of a certified teacher. Assists in classroom activities, student supervision, and transportation while promoting a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

• AA degree, 60 college credits, or passing paraprofessional exam

• Valid IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card

• CPR, First Aid, and Substitute Certificate

Preferred:

• Bilingual (English/Spanish)

• Experience with diverse and ELL student populations

Work Environment:

School setting with moderate physical activity; may include lifting and managing student behavior.
