Job Description:

Franklin Phonetic School is currently looking for a kindergarten teacher to join our team in the spring of 2026. The salary for this one semester of teaching will be $18K to $22.5K (depending on education and experience) with the possibility of renewing a contract for a full year salary the following school year.

Job Description

As a Franklin Phonetic School Teacher, your core responsibilities include:

Curriculum Development and Instruction

  • Adapt and execute a rigorous, standards-aligned curriculum
  • Develop academically rigorous lessons, unit plans, rubrics, and assessments
  • Use data to inform instructional decisions
  • Differentiate instruction to ensure that all students are progressing
  • In conjunction with Special Education Teachers, work to ensure that all IEPs and student needs are met both within and outside of the classroom

Help Build a Positive School and Classroom Culture

  • Embody and maintain school’s values, policies, and culture
  • Develop positive relationships with students, families, teachers, staff, and community members
  • Establish and maintain strong communication with all families and share progress
  • Show up for critical school events, including staff meetings, open houses, parent-teacher conferences, and more
  • Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and is developmentally appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students
  • Have fun and spread joy!

Demonstrate a Growth Mindset

  • Pursue challenging professional goals each year
