Position: Interventionist
Job Information: Certified position, 10 month

QUALIFICATIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Bachelor’s degree in education or related field (Master’s preferred)
· Valid state teaching certification (Elementary Education required)
· Endorsement or experience in reading, literacy, or math intervention preferred
· Experience working with diverse learners, including struggling students
· Knowledge of RTI/MTSS frameworks
· Strong classroom management and organizational skills
Summary
The K–8 Interventionist Teacher provides targeted, data-driven instruction to students who require additional academic support in core subject areas, primarily literacy and mathematics. This role involves collaborating with classroom teachers, monitoring student progress, and implementing evidence-based intervention strategies to help students meet grade-level expectations. The goal of this position is to accelerate learning by addressing academic gaps and ensuring all students have the support needed to succeed at grade level.
Responsibilities
· Deliver small-group and individualized instruction based on student needs
· Assess students using formal and informal tools to identify skill gaps
· Develop and implement intervention plans aligned with curriculum standards
· Monitor student progress and adjust instruction using data-driven practices
· Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and administrators
· Maintain accurate records of student performance and intervention outcomes
· Support Response to Intervention (RTI) or Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) processes
· Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress
· Use research-based strategies and instructional materials
· Assist in creating a positive, inclusive learning environment
